  • New Petros

Those new Petros really look good in my tanks....
I was fortunate enough to get a nice group 3/9 of Petrochromis Famula Bangwe (Red Fin Famula)
and a small group 1/4 of Petrochromis Orthognathus Bangwe

This was a nice colorful collection of petros and these WC fish came in real healthy.... eating right away...
This is exactly what I was looking for and paid for.... no surprises

It's a pleasure and refreshing doing business with someone who delivers quality along with integrity .
    Thanks Alison

Frank, I think Chris is trying to say those fish look more like Ikola then they do tri-color.

I also think they look like Ikolas...for what it's worth.

Sorry about that Criss , I did not understand what you meant by TRI-COLOR = IKOLA. They don't look like my IKOLA IKOLAs and they don't look like my TRI-COLORS ... But after looking at them (shape and color features) just a different TRI-COLOR. Absolutely no striping on the lower half of the body.
But I could be wrong.... And it would not be the first time an exported sent a fish and it was not that fish at all... IT happened with me on Neolamp Pectoralis,
I got Pectoralis from one importer and some undescribed lelupie from another importer...

Interesting discussion, guys. Just for the record....These fish were imported as Petrochromis orthognathus - collection location Bangwe. They were not labeled as "Tri-Colors" by the exporter or myself. IMO, the collection location is more important than a trade name.

On Second thought most of the photos on my hard drive that are Ikolas look more like my new Orthognathus Bangwe. I have a few photos that have the stripping on the top
That are labeled Tri-Colors. The body has a little more hight..... that is why I was thinking Tri-Color... But you guys are right.
