I dont like stripping prier than about 3 days before she would spit anyways. If you strip earlier, then all the fish will make it. Naturally the mother will cull the weak on her own, keeping the species as natural as possible. I strip about 3 days prier to her spitting just so I dont have to pull all the rocks to get them out. I think letting her hold to term will produce stronger, healthier fry in the long run.250gallon-Wild Angels, community

Dont strip fishes, it is much more natural not too. The females get properly cycled before they start to hold again. Some old school people still believe in imprinting behavoirs, which I think does have some merit. Non-stripped fry are more robust generally.
If you strip you will end up with ALOT more fry, so you best make plans on how to properly care for another 50 fry, and another, and more buyers, and more tanks just for growing em out. Female's will wear down faster, and not reach their full size.380G For Sale $3000 Acrylic tank & stand
