I work at a place that has a LOT of aquariums managed by ADG. I notices the other day a single Troph (black with single yellow stripe) mixed in with Parrot, Peacock, Yellow Lab, and Groumi. Strange mix I know, but they did just fine (very calm). They were all large 4-5 inch plus each. Many of the tanks have cross continent species mixed, how/ why I don't know. My question is, if I have a Malowi tank, can I add in a single Troph? you can look at my list of fish under my journal (110 gal). Thanks.

Tropheus should be fine.
They are hardier then most people give them credit for.I ate my fish that died.

You can do it as long as the Trophs needs are being met . By this I mean.......high filtration....high flow.....pristine water...good diet . The other fish will also benefit from this special treatment .Comment

hmmmm...this sounds like one of the tanks I maintenence???
I actually have a couple tanks with single kiriza in them...no clue where they came from or who put them there. I was thinking of rounding them all up and putting them together...but that is too much work on top of a busy schedule.250gallon-Wild Angels, communityComment

There is exactly one pair of dubs at Fish Gallery and they have had hundreds and hundreds of babies. They breed like CRAZY! There are no other trophs in the tank. Theres an MBU puffer, parrots, frontosas, bunch of other crap too.
