        1. Largest tank you can afford. for 65 petro fry I would say 300g+
        2. Power feed multiple times a day using a good flake/pellet (dainichi, NLS, spirulina flake) or shrimp mix
3, Water quality - changing 70%+ once or twice a week depending on stocking and tank size. and over sized filtration.
        4. sell them at a smaller size
        5. time

One question though. Why would you need advice from us, petroman?
        25g - Reef
        3.5g - Surge Tank
10g - Ichthyophthirius multifilis breeding colony

Geoff has really fast growth rate with his fishes.

            1) under stock the tank
            2) massive water changes
            3) no sand
            4) clean those filters!
I ate my fish that died.

              Mr. SiteAdmin:
to breed petros is one thing to raise the fry is another..... I have only been doing this (the Petro thing for 1.5 years)... and like I say...
"Learning means, never stop listening "
Those who stop taking advice have narrow minds.... and those that know everything have even smaller minds...

"One question though. Why would you need advice from us, petroman?" won't bother to turn this into something personal.... not appropriate ..... Mr. SiteAdmin ....

Some guys just know how to raise babies faster than others.... I am trying to get that info.....
BTW: thanks for you answer ....

                Hi Rob,
92 tanks of lamps gone.... I Sold off a WC group of 6 Longicaudatus to a guy named Daniel in Baltimore... then later found 5 babies in the same 55 gallon tank.
I recently got a group of 15 Famula Gold in Baltimore ... On my way I gave Daniel the other 5 babies for free ..... I hated to part with those fish... but I needed more space to put in another tank (150 gallon 6 footer).... I hope everything is "OK" ..... thanks for asking...

I'm surpirsed nobody has mentioned temperature . . . but then again I'm not a petro person. Does temperature not make that big of a difference with petros growth rate??

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Thanks Thai, two people emailed me to say when I find out the answers to this question please let them know as well... So Geoff has the key to this question.... nothing like experience...
Thanks for all of the answers.... and yes the temp. has a major role in this as well. When I use to show Fancy Guppies , to get them ready for the shows , I use to raise them at 82 degrees , this shortened their life cycle but the growth rate was really fast and got them up to size in time for the show...
I don't know if I can do that with Petros... Like I said I am a rookie at this Petro Thing.... In a short period of time( 1.5 yrs) I must have asked 400+ question on any site that had petro info.... I am a collector of info(I cut and paste all of my question and answers into a folder.... I get the best 3 answers and use what is in common to those questions. Unless I am dealing with a PETRO EXPERT.... LOL ..... And "The Professor" (Mr. Thai) has been a great help to me.
Once again thanks for any help...

I feed Aqurian Flake to my all my fry and swear by it. Some Petros are different though. My polys grow like weeds but my Trew fry are very slow growing.

                            1. Love your Fishes
                            2. Give them lots of room = biggest tank you can afford, and quite honestly...if you can't go big, then go home and try a different fish
                            3. Let them grow in the tank with Adults, gives them something to aspire too
                            4. Aquarian Tropical Flake Food and High Quality pellet (NLS, Dainichi, Hikari Excel) 1-2x a day
                            5. Keep em' clean homes and stay on top of filters, dont let your Eheim 2260's go more than 4-5 months you lazy @$@$
