Hey Mike, what setup are you shooting with? Can you share some of the settings you used to capture the pictures?
300g - Petrochromis Texas "Red Fin" Longola, Petrochromis Red Bulu, Tropheus Red Rainbow Kansanga.

        Body - Canon T1i
        Lens - Canon 18-55mm F 3.5 (kit lens)

Shots where taken at ISO 800-1600 , Shutter 30-100.
F-stop # as low as possible. I would set it at its lowest setting but when you zoom in the F-stop # rises so I would say a range of 3.5-5.6

I adjust the ISO and shutter depending on how much light is on the tank. ISO is more general and shutter speed is more of fine tuning for me.

Tropheus move fast so a shutter range of at least 60-100 is necessary to capture them. For slow moving fish like the clown loach or mobas the shutter speed can be lowered to capture more light so the ISO can be lowered and your shots don't come out grainy.

I also use photoshop for post-processing. I'm not that great with it but can do the simple things.

        Hope that helps :)

Mike, what is the minimum focus distance on that lens? I can't get any closer than 1.6 ft.
