  • Tropheus Moorii Namansi I (Aka Namansi Red, Chungwa)

Here are the 10 best I could manage from tonights photo session with my new colony.

I would like to publicly thank a few people:
Traci: for loaning me the macro lens and a million other small things
Thai: for motivating me to up my camera game and spend the money on a flash

    Last but not least:
The underground importer who helped me bring these fish in. I can't thank you enough and wish the best for you and your family. If there is anything I can do for you please feel free to ask.

Glass is clean you are seeing a scratch or two, air bubbles and a weak attempt at an algae wall on the back glass

Thanks Mike, I am using an old school Nikon D1X, it's the SB-600 autoflash that makes the images

Yes these came from Old World. A good friend on the Box with an account ordered them for me.

              I like them Gene!

Good luck with them. Very nice looking fish.

Surprisingly, not many people have them and they are not in a difficult place to collect.

I notice a lot of variation in their color. At least from the ones I had.

What happen to "namansi reds are not chungwa" idea?

After looking at mine for a couple of weeks I have to believe they are the same fish. I think the fish in Ebbo's Chungwa videos were either young or stressed. At least that is what my eyes tell me I could be wrong.

These are what Laif was calling the Namansi Green Rainbow. The fish showing as Chungwa on his stocklist are Brichardi Namansi Fiery Fry. Odd but true

I told you want I think.

                        Same fish. Different name.

Only reason those foos on trophs.com want to call it something else so they can charge people up on some fish.

                        Wouldn't be the first time.

                        Randall,

If you order with your people let me know the pricing on the blue giants.

                        I might need 10.

Old World's giants are gone...but I like where your head is!!!

Gene, Nice pickup bro. Good to see some cool/different trophs come to Houston. Whats your ratio...1/1?

                            Damnit!

SW tank got me slipping on my tropheus/petro game....not good.

All I know is I need more petros.

                            petro > tropheus.

It will happen to all tropheus keepers sooner or later.

Thanks Randall. I have no idea what the ratio is. When we finally figured out that these where what he was calling a green rainbow I asked my friend to order all 20 that showed on the list. Hopefully more are on the way.
