  • NLS Thera A 3mm and Cichlid Formula in 1 mm

Drove around to several LFS today to try buy a bucket of NLS Thera A 3mm and a bucket of Cichlid forumula 1mm in bucket. Not one LFS had both in stock? Where does everyone else get their NLS from? Online? Fish Ranch was out?

The 2mm bucket I got was $45. It's over on 249. They claim to buy in bulk so you might find 1mm and 3mm.

Yeah, they usually don't buy in bulk, so they are a bit $$ on their NLS. But, when no one else has it in town, it is priced right :-). Usually FR has it in stock and is priced right, but last two visits they were out? I usually buy two buckets of 3mm and one 1mm and that lasts me about two months?

Funny how the fry try and nibble on the 3mm and pass right by the 1mm???????

I was thinking about switching form cichlid formula for thera a. Is it better to feed both? Ratio?

            Sorry bout stealing your thread.

Both have practically the same ingredients so I guess you can mix them. I didn't want to risk with concern of getting fish sick. Once I switched to Thera A, I just stuck with it.

Thera A has more garlic in it than the cichlid formula and 38 percent protein compared to cichlid formula's 34 percent , I have mixed NLS foods in the past with no problems. Trophs are still breeding so no side effects that I can see.
