    I've had fry that were between the size of 1" to 1.5" be kinda shy . But once I put the food in the tank...they were like any other Troph ......straight attack mode !!! lol !! If pellets hit the ground in my tanks....it's only for about a couple of seconds .

            yea for some reason they are comin out now. the petro hides where they used to hide and he chases them when they get near. i guess this a good thing? lol. more active!!

              Maybe there is not an aggressive enough alpha male, or maybe not enough males in the colony. I had a small colony of Chipimbi once that would behave like this.
