  • Rock Dig III - Burnet Texas

I want to get this event started by setting the guidelines and picking a date..

There are a few dates I am looking at that based upon time with my daughter, holidays, and call duty at my work.

Here is a list of dates I have open.

    October 20th
    November 3rd
    December 1st

Just like before, the cost is 1-12pk of Coke Classic for my Aunt, and if you carpool you need to be prepared to give the person your carpooling with anywhere from $15-30.  It needs to be worked out between you and them.  We will leave on a SATURDAY from Aquarium World at 7:30AM and will get there about 10:45-11:00AM at the Dairy Queen on 281-South in Burnet Texas.  Then go from there to my Aunt's house, where we can dig, shop, look, stroll, and pick thru rocks.  You can take all that you want. We will leave my Aunt’s land by 4pm and be back in Houston by 7pm or so.

There are only two conditions that must be met.  Only one guest per person who is not a Houston Fish Box forum member, and absolutely none of this rock can be sold anywhere.  If you have children, of coarse exceptions to the guest limit will be made.

As for selling this rock, you will be severely punished, and not allowed to go any field trips of the Tropheus and Petrochromis Club, and severely looked upon as worthless trash who cannot keep their word.

This is the third time we have had this event and it has always been fun, and no one broke any rules.  I want it to stay this way.

That's it until the New Year.  Please post your date preference.

    Take care,

    Geoff

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Re: Rock Dig III - Burnet Texas

I'm intested, and have truck with camper cover, so I could help bring back some other people's stuff if they're from the La Porte, Pasadena, Deer Park, Clear Lake area, etc.  I think the only Saturday I could go, though, would be Oct. 20. I'm working the others and vacation is pretty well scheduled up, so Oct. 20 would be my vote.

Re: Rock Dig III - Burnet Texas

well i just got the sad news that i will basically have trainees (u know my job as area trainer) till almost November, so Oct is out, of question on top of me moving that month and it will take a bit of time to move all of my tanks. So I will send Tim in my stead since I know he is going anyway, and I helped him the first trip with the loads and loads we got for him. and man were those rocks great. well that is of course if Tim will actually go, You WILL GO (subliminal suggesting) wont you Tim. PLease say you will  < this is what i will do if you dont. If you do decide to go im looking for mostly smaller pieces or ones that can break well into smaller pieces, im sure Geoff still has those nice new tools from the first trip, that sledge was a lot of fun to swing about.
                        Never fear I is here
