I am going to ask my Aunt for November 3rd if this date is good or not.

If she is fine with this, then this will be out date.

If you stop somewhere close by you can cover your licence plates with a cloth, and just back up to the rocks.

Geoff - Couple of Questions for you....  
1.  Brining roommate, his GF + 2 kids 6 & 8 will this be a problem ?  (the kids all depends on if they are home or at their moms that weekend) - we would still only be collecting for one household, not multiple.
2.  Can we bring a 4 wheeler onto the property ?

I will find out if they should have a problem with this.

In fact, a 4-wheeler was talked about last time as a must to have, on the next trip.

But with that said, I have the following issues..

1.  Bring the 4-wheeler, but its not for taking it there and hotdogging on it.  Bring it for toting rocks around, not for motorcross and bs.

2.  The kids I have no problem with, but you have to understand that there could be snakes, and other wildlife not to mention trails, bushes, tree, rocks, hills, and creek beds to climb in and out of.  We are about 20 miles outside of town, and its not easy to get to if someone gets hurt.  I want 100% agreement from your roomate that if something happens to his kids, he needs to understand that its not go and sue my family over some personal injury. It is 100% at risk fun and enjoyment for us.

3.  The kids need 100% supervised the whole time, and I would appreciate it that they did not drive the 4-wheeler, they want to ride on it no problem, but the kids cannot drive it.

4.  They are not part of the forum, but they have to go by the rules as well.  Which means none of the rock is for sale, and they have to bring a 12 pack of coke too.

Yeah last trip, she took the 6-12 packs to a family reunion the next weekend.  It saved her a trip into town.

Geoff -
1.  4 wheeler is to haul rocks... not to race on.  The kids are not allowed to drive it now, therefore this will not be an issue.
2.  They are collecting with me for the tanks we have at the house... none will be sold - absolutely promised.
3.  The kids will be supervised while we are there 100% of the time and ofcourse we understand this is a place we went to and 100% on our own risk going out there.. ie no one will be sued for injuries.
4.  Kids are optional - ie we dont know if we have the kids the weekend anyways, and this would mean they wouldnt come anyways if they are at their Mom's.
5. Rules are rules... we will abide by them and we will bring extra 12 packs of Coke for your aunt as gifts :)

This is sounding very interesting.  I've been meaning to go on a rock hunt but i'm always missing out.  I can say for sure what I will be doing Nov 3rd (being a born again bachelor and all) but for the time being count me in.

I CAN'T  WAIT TO GO I ACTUALLY HAVE ROOM FOR MORE ROCK AFTER THE LAST DIG. I MANAGED TO GET A FEW PEICES OF ROCK THAT ARE SOOO COOOL.
