    Geoff,

    For both TXFONT, and myself, could you please tell us here or in PM form, how much we would need if the two of us where to agree to split a box ...

    Thanks

      Steve,

      56 Tropheus come to a box.  You and txfront's order must total atleast half the box or roughly 26-28 fish.  So as long as both of you order 13-14 fish you are in good shape to go.  The Shipping cost on the box is split 3-ways Mike, txfront, and you.

          I'm fairly sure this deal/transaction is to be paid for before the first of December or there abouts, so if indeed you are not able or willing to do this before Xmas, I either need another purchasing partner or I will have to pass as well.

            :(   I too wish this could happen after christmas.  I bet there would be AT LEAST 10 additional people that would go in if it were not at such a penny pinching time.

              Sorry if this is a dumb question, but this would be my first time doing something like this.

              If I am interested in some tropheus, what is the minimum and the max that I could order, and what kind of price range would I be looking at?

              Thanks

                Don't feel alone ND, this would be my first venture in import purchasing. I'd counting on the experience and the patience of the more experienced to guide me thru it.

                  Here is a pic of the male Cyp. mtoto:

                  Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
                  Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
                  Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
                  Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

                    Re: Direct Import from Africa - African Cichlids Aquaculture

                    I think the min is what we are trying to find out since if you wanted one variant of tropheus and CF wanted the same variant both of you could split half a box since Mike is willing to take the other half.

                    So....

                    Lets say there is 60 fish to a box which is the minimum order per....

                    Mike would take half = 30
                    CF would take a quarter = 15
                    ND would take a quarter = 15

                    simple enough?

                    Lets say ND goes in with his brother for an eighth.

                    Mike = 30
                    CF =15
                    ND = 7.5
                    ND's brother = 7.5

                    Now since it would be worthless to both of you to split a fish one would take one more then the other.

                    Pricing is listed I believe so you split that into the amount of fish there is and tack on the other cost's and fees which is to be assessed at time of order to get a true number of how many participants are involved which means the more involved the more the total cost's and fees get split.

                      Re: Direct Import from Africa - African Cichlids Aquaculture

                      On the tropheus it said they can be $7-$30, how is that determined.  If we have to pay for the order upfront, how do we know what size the fish are.  I am down for some trophs but I have to know the price per fish(not counting shipping and fees) before I can give an amount.

                      Depending on the answer to the above question, I may be down for 1 or 2 colnys of 20-25 trophs.  I am not too picky about the variant cause they are all pretty good.

                          Geoff can provide the cost of the fish your interested in, but he may not respond till as late as Monday.  He doesn't have a pc at home.

                            Most of these trophs will be from 2.5-4"  but since it is coming straight from africa does it really matter how big they are? I am positive they will be wild caught adults so regardless of the size they come it will be all good in my book.

                              I do not care how big the fish will be, I am curious about the price.  I really want to get in on this, but I need a rough price per fish.  There is a big difference between $15 per fish and $30 per fish when you talking about get 20+ fish.

                                Calm down guys, im also interested in some depending on cost of each individual fish.

                                I know squat about tropheus, ive seen lots that id be interested in getting, BUT theyre probably the $30 each types.

                                Which variants are generally cheaper, that way i can whittle my list down before talking to Geoff.
