I'll keep you updated.  The petros and trophs are a go though.

I'm interested in getting in on this.  However, I have to run it by my husband.

I don't anticipate it being a problem.  CichlidFan - I'm willing to go in on a box with you if all goes well with the hubby.

That's great news, I'll be excited to hear what he has to say. Keep me posted.

CichlidFan - Have you worked out the numbers already?  I'm going through 7 pages of posts trying to figure out what our cost will be.  My husband is cool with it, but I still need to come up with a price to make sure it's not too shocking.

Imagirlgeek - PM Geoff for the pricing on the fish and the first page should give you the other cost involved.

Okay, my husband has now decided that if we are going to do it, we need to go ahead and do it big.  He's talking like, 50 Trophs!  And I was worried....silly me.     But he also said he's interested in a variety since we have so much room to fill.    :)   So...anyone else want to split some boxes?

Imageekgirl - Congrats! I'm not sure what you mean by variety, though. You may want variant are okay to mix with each other without worrying about hybridization.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Thanks!  I didn't even have to twist his arm!!  I've got a tank of Duboisi, and a tank of Moorii different variants (which I need to decide soon what to keep and how to split them up), but I've also got a 125 sitting in the garage that I am dying to fill with trophs, and a 55 that has baby Fronts who are getting large enough to move into another Frontosa tank.  So, we'll figure it out.  We may just have to buy more aquariums.  <did I say that out loud??  Oh God, I have a serious problem.)   8O

All trophs listed are susceptable to hybridizing/interbreeding.

Something to consider is a petro/troph mix....

From what I understand, all the fish on the list are from the same Region...Zambian and the Trophs would most likely interbreed if kept together.

All of the special order Tropheus come from Zambia, and all the Tropheus on the current availible list also come from Zambia.  I would never suggest anyone mix any Tropheus on this list or any Zambian Tropheus together in the same tank.   There would be a VERY HIGH chance of making hybrid fish.  I donot like Hybrid fish, I am 100% for keeping bloodlines pure.

I also understand that when you buy these fish, they are your fish and you can do anything you want with them.  You just need to know they are your fish and be honest about it.

As planned the deadline is still December 7th if ordering from the current availible list.  If your making a special order that must be placed by 5pm THIS FRIDAY.

The order is already over 10 boxes, and is right now at 13 boxes, only 2 away from 15 for the larger discount.

Because of this, we may move the deadline up to Monday November 26th, and give all week for everyone to pay.  Then place the order December 1st.  This will have the fish arriving more than likely before Christmas.  With all the holiday traveling going on, we may schedule the actual delivery of the fish in January.

Derek (delock) who used to work for the airlines, has said that during the week of Christmas baggage and US mail trumps all other packages and items.  So, the actual delivery would be before Christmas or in January.
