Re: Direct Import from Africa - African Cichlids Aquaculture
I really do not want to get off topic,
But a 7ft x 2ft x 2ft 210 gallon aquarium with 4-5 filtration turnover with a wet dry, you can keep about 100 Tropheus. I would also run the Fluval FX5 and use it as a mechanical filter, and the wet dry with a pump about 900 gph for biological filtration. The FX5 in my opinion, from what I have experienced in it so far with the used one I got, is like having 3-Aqua Clear 110's Powerfilters with almost no bypass. The foam in it is the same as the foam in the 110's Its all the same stuff.
The problem with 100 tropheus is finding the right mix so that you dont get cross breeding.
Steve if I were you, I would put your 28 Nkonde, 30 Ujiji, and then get 12 Petrochromis Trewavasae and that would make for an awesome tank.
Just my .02...
