I finally received some of these beauties yesterday. They came in in wonderful shape. Talk about a ratio of fish, I ended up with 1 male and 6 females. Let the breeding begin! I will have 3 weeks of treatment to rid them of parasites. I see an anchor worm on one fish. Once thats done it's time to rock on! I will post some pics when they color up some. This is a pretty rare Petro and I know of only 1 other person with these in the states. I ordered way more than this but this was all the importer was able to bring in. With any luck I will be receiving more on his next shipment. The only verifiable source I was able to locate a good picture on was from cichlid forum from a 2004 issue. To describe this fish would be a cross between a Kipili brown a Red Mpimbwe and a flametail. Really nice pattern on the fish with orange fins and tail. Nice orange markings on the face too. I will keep you all updated as things progress.

Re: Petro Sp. Orange Tail
That looks pretty nice... for a petro.Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
