  • Got my fish home!!!

I was going to wait to announce when I had pictures to post, but I just couldn't wait!  I drove up this morning and picked up our Nkonde and Kachese and all I can say is that my expectations were greatly exceeded.  They are most definitely the most beautiful, in my opinion, that I've ever seen.

I have to give serious props to Mike and Geoff for all the work they put into this.  I know that just unbagging all the fish I brought home took a toll on me, so I can't imagine what those 2 felt like after unbagging all of our fish.  And the care that Mike provided, and is still providing the fish is amazing.  Make sure to thank him for providing the foster facility because these fish are being very well taken care of.

Mine appear to be settling in very very well.  No photos tonight because I'm trying to give them a break.  No lights and no food for the night.  I've only had 1 so far that seemed to have a little trouble, but she's seperated out and I'm aerating the hell out of the water.  She's starting to perk back up, but still watching her for the next couple of hours.  Wish us luck!

For those of you who still have fish at Mike's, you are going to be so pleased.  They are all so active and beautiful!!

Right now they are in a 75.  But we just ordered a 240G on Wednesday, so as soon as that gets here we'll be able to do some rearranging and let the Kachese spread out a bit.

                  Re: Got my fish home!!!

I know......I wasn't planning on fetching mine till the shortly after the new year, but now, I think I may have to make the drive up to CS a bit sooner....

My 210 is just about ready, I need to tweek the W/D return pump to balance out the water flow, the tough decision now is where to put the kachese?
I'm hoping I can put my Ujiji's in the 210 with my nkonde yellows. If I can mix those two, I can put the Kachese in the 125 where the Ujiji's are now.
