They have been really active tonight and completely hamming it up for the camera.  Here's a few for those who didn't get a chance to go to the site to see them.

Thank you Loretta!  We seriously just can't stop looking at them.  They are just amazing and definitely the best looking fish we've ever had.  It's slightly intimidating!

I would not feed tropheus anything made by Tetra........I feed any and all my wet pets NLS.

You can get by slipping in some Tetra food to trophs from time to time.

Picked up a 90 gallon oceanic reef ready tank this evening. Now I have some fish shuffling to do in order to move the fish in my 150 gallon out to a 75 gallon and to the 90 gallon. I have decided to put the kachese in the 150.

I just assume that EVERYONE here has more space taken up by aquariums than by furniture!    It all started with a 55 gallon as a gift, and now we have no dining room table, and recently put a couch in storage to put up our 125G.  And now we've got a 240G on order....hopefully will have it in early January...Yeeaaa!  Guygeek and I are also talking about making structural changes to the house to make another room.   8O  We are out of control!!  But I am with you Loretta, there is nothing more relaxing than just sitting and watching the fish.

And you are welcome anytime to come hang out and watch fish.  We've got a really comfortable chair in the dining room area now to make the viewing much more comfortable. :)

                          Traci,

The Nkonde just look AWESOME!! I knew when Mike and I unpacked them, that they were going to be one of the top fish of the import.

You and Steve did really nice to split that box, and shame on the others that passed on them.

                          Just beautiful fishes!!

I hope that you guys made a good decision on that 240 gallon, that is going to be a beast to get in if its made of glass.  You might want to start looking for helpers or even possible professionals if its upstairs or anything.

I am very glad to hear your Nkonde and Kachese are doing so well.

Your are feeding them excellent foods, and I know they will be a succes for you and are in excellent care.

Post pics when you get fry, and once the 240 gets setup and settled, you better post pics

                            Re: Got my fish home!!!

Alrighty I'm a highjackin this here thread now cause I got my fishes home tonight......

Everyone seems to be doing fine, the nkonde's are all pretty active swimming up and down in one corner of the tank. When I turned out the lights, they seem more confident to break out into a slow methodical exploratory pattern.

The kachese are doing the same, a bit more active than the nkonde's but still seem fairly calm and not too stressed at all. I'm going to sit up with them a while then turn in myself and hope they too, have a quiet and restfull late evening.

One more time, Thanks Mike for the unannounced welcome and delivery. I know baggin 60 fish at 8pm was not on top of your to do list.

And thanks again to Chris for the ride.

                                Re: Got my fish home!!!

It looks like I came home with only 12 Kachese.  I had to seperate 5 nkonde's from the Kachese tank, and after I did that, I was able to get a count of 12 on them. I spent some time screening the nkonde tank to see if there might be a imposter amongst them, but I believe they are all nkonde yellows.

I'm happy to report though, that all the fishies are doing well. I'm very happy with them and look forward to having lots of fry swimming around by easter maybe.

I'll try to get a few pics posted with my feeble camera skills as early as tomorrow. Don't expect any really nice shots, but I'll see what I can do.
