delock-was Alex there. did he quote a price. I wont be giving him back fish anymore. now that I found this place. does anybody know if gorilla glue is toxic to fish? are all epoxies safe?
fshfrk - I would strongly recommend going to walmart and getting some GE Silicone I NOT II (II has mildew and mold resistance in the silicone.. no good for the fish) Several people have used it here on the forum to reglue or glue things together that has been introduced to fish without problems.

yes the ones alex sells. when he's out ,sometimes months at a time. i get them at fish are us on 242. NLS is expensive so mixing keeps cost down. I want to glue a 50lb flat holly rock to 2 flat round rocks for a base so holly rock will stand up. this rock needs to be free standing, not leaning up against the back of the tank. this rock is show quality. 3 inches thick and 2x3 1/2 ft with hundreds of holes. had my eye on it for several months at fish are us. long term i don' t think silicone will work. i always buy used tanks and reseal them. learned that lesson the hardway. so i know about silicone. i think epoxy will work better? anyone used epoxy? or gorilla glue?
another thing you can do which I saw someone do with a NICE show piece was take a tile saw and flatten the bottom of the rock and now it does not fall over at all... Stands completely on its own :)
I am actually thinking I am going to do this to one of the pieces of rock I have.. because it would make it perfect if it could stand... its a piece of rock which is an arch :)
