Re: Houston Fish Box Tank Tours...Feb 9th!

Well they'd be going to look at those types of fish if it was a fish tour.  But it's not.  It's a tank tour.  it's just that it's for the tropheus and petrochromis club members.  So doesn't that mean it's just to look at tanks?  Doesn't say anything about having something IN  the tank....

Re: Houston Fish Box Tank Tours...Feb 9th!

Alright...let's get back on track (especially since I may be traveling the furthest   )

I think 2 days makes complete sense.  You could to the SE/SW/Pasadena Area in one day, NE/NW area the second weekend.  Central/Downtown could be split between the two days.

Derrick, if you don't mind me stating this...
If you are interested in showing your tropheus/petro tanks, then PM me (ddaquaria) with your name and location with a zip code.  For example Donald(ddaquaria), Houston, 77061 - that is where I use to lived in H-town many years ago.  This will allow use to make a quick map of locations to see how we would travel and split the tank visiting days.

Derrick, if you have already done this, let me know if any assistance is needed with the mapping.

If I left out something - please add it.

        So what are the details?

Where are we meeting/ where are we starting?
Who's in the tour and who's in for the ride?

I am down for the ride but not sure if I can be in the tour....have family over so I'm not sure yet.

Don't know, EK.  Haven't heard from any one yet.  Not sure who is showing versus who is going.

It is really up to Derek, since he wants to organize this.  I was under the impression it was going to be a tank tour of Tropheus and Petros, but I am open to whatever.

I just realized that Feb 9th is the same day as my cousin's engagement party.  I guess we are out for this round.   :(

I have Trinity the weekend of February 8th and every other weekend till she is out of school.

I would prefer a weekend that I did not have her with me, cause she would get mad at Derek.

Re: Houston Fish Box Tank Tours...Feb 9th!

If I set the date, I'm pushing it back the the 26th or Feb 2nd.  Feb 2nd is 2 weeks away, I would hope that would give enough people time to decide who will show and who will go (or both).  If I remember correct, Sugerland is South - how about southside, Feb 2nd (this would include Pasadena, MO City, Sugarland, etc and northside Feb 9th or 16th (if we are breaking it up into 2 dates).  If not, then let's do everything Feb 2nd.

We have the kids every 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekends of the month.  But if we get a date nailed down, we can trade weekends to work around it.

Re: Houston Fish Box Tank Tours...Feb 9th!

I would like to see tanks on Feb 2th and Feb 16th.  I appreciate the split up of the road trips...  I am thinking this will be a fantastic showing.
I would recommend strongly that we set a central location to Start and End the trip at.   IE if we can we should set Derek's place as the start / end point for both events and allow those who are traveling to meet at a central location, pile into as few vehicles as possible travel the city and then return to this point and disperse for the trip home on your own.
