geoff-the fish holding is one off the smaller females. those big females are arm wrestling like males. thats why i have the dither fish. just have to see?  john

Most likely this is a case where the dominate fish are Big Females that prevent sucessful spawning, where the smaller males just cannot dominate a territory.

I was in Alex's store this weekend, and he has about 20 F1 Petrochromis Trewavasae from customers, and at first I thought must be you.

So it is possible, it's just going to take either getting a bigger male, convince Alex to give up the one near the front window, or re-arrange your groups to where big male and the holding female have some "time" together and hope they dont try to kill each other.

we remove the dither fish Saturday. So there should be some activity in the tank now. Also, just talked to John and he mention she spit....

yea, theres some big time activity. the big mean girl is meaner. they are acting normal again, though. as far as trew fry, i'm still not positive. they could be moops.

counted 7 so far. far as i know no moops were packin. i probably got 12 fry in the last 4 wks from the moops.thers only 4 female moops in this group. these guys are a lot darker and i never had a troph spit 7.

99 % SURE. thet are darker. slenderer,mouth and nose is more pointed,and they got lips. counted 6 this morning. noticed a tret chasing them. blocked off their play area with rocks. i need a witness. call me-john--281-389-0729

delock- much better. normal. slide by sunday. check out the trew fry.i think i like not having a substrate in that 200. i might do this more often in the future.- john

yea goeff i got pictures, but i do not know how to post them. my neighbor will be back in town wed. he will do it. thats another thing i got this new camera. a nikon cool picks. i need to learn how to work the zoom, i guess. but any one and every one is welcome over here to check them out. 6 years trying to breed these bad boys!
