Adult Petros

I am looking for something a little larger than fry or juvenile maybe around 2-5 fish. I have found a larger female but she is $300 and I am not sure she will fit in with my colony of trophs.  Does anyone know where I may find some? I am willing to drive if I have too. I am here through Thursday morning and have cash.

Ultimate fish has some wild petro trewavase (around 4") last week when I was there. i think they're about $50-60 or some.

Those were already sold. I tried to buy them. The only one Alex would sell was the big yellow female. I cant deal with her because she is to big. I have to have something to go with my chimbas.   they has some small fry like 1/2" but thos i think are too small and I need something a little more mature and hardy since I am still learning.

I bought three of those small petro's and have them in with large juvi Ulwiles, they seem to get along fine.....just a FYI...

hmmmm. Well I was really hoping to give a member here my money first. I am always concerned about buying fry as well. Thats why I steered away from them. Then I was afraid they might get eaten. Thansk Steve, this is good to know

Chris, its a bit of a drive, but Mike at TxTropheustraders has several different petros, fry and larger.

Is he open after hours?????   hehe   its only about 93 miles one way from humble. I am going tonight!!!!!


It would be almost $100 in gas there and back. The truck only gets 9 miles to the gallon. The bike would be good but would probable kill the fish from stress and all the noise.

Yes I will have to reach out to him and see what he has. I may go back over and look at the ones Alex has again. I going to be careful and not jump at the first thing that comes up....well I will try at least.

the big "yellow" female alex has is a moshi, a lot more aggressive than a trewavasae. i believe alex is getting a shipment from africa next week or the week after. also chris, keep in mind, if your planning to add petros to your chimbas, you're going to need to put them in a larger tank. 55 is going to be cramped...put 'em in the 135!
