I have never seen where it looks like it is transfered genetically to fry from parents.

It is more of enviroment issue (food.waterquality etc..) than genetics.

I might have someone that will take them as well if you want to get rid of them.....might be able to swap you some of my smaller F1's.

Yeah we did slip a little there for a few months but we are back on track.  They are already eating the spirulina flake and the Dainichi Veggie FX.   Thanks to the info here we started adding the zucchini although they aren't that crazy about it yet.   We bought some seaweed/algae and they love that!   They are looking better already.  I  wouldn't  say the splotches are better but the fish look a bit healthier and some of their colors are looking better.  Thanks again everyone for the info and we will keep you updated on their progress.  We will try to get better pics too and post them for you to see the progress as well.  I doubt we will be parting with them but if we do then we will definitely let you know.

Slipin on water changes is a super no-no in the trophs game.  I would follow geoff's advice.  I do 50% two times a week.  And I know of others that do even more. Make their water conditions good and they will show improvements. Good luck......don't give up man!

p.s. may the force be with you.
I ate my fish that died.
