Re: Substrate!!!!
Hey delock,
Go to the search and type in sand. when the results come up go to the topic "75 gallon need substrate suggestions." There is a post from Scott about sand and he suggest play sand. It is very informative and helpful.

Re: Substrate!!!!
it all depends on what substrate you want to use. if you were getting something special like flourite or eco complete i would say have mike at sunny's order it because you can get it less then what it would be with shipping online. and if you want to save money on a planted tank i suggest mixing a good substrate like flourite with potting soil, they have several different suggestion in the el natural section of aquaticplantcentral.com at least for plant tank people , because with 25 dollars a bag at my store for fourite it gets a lot more expensive then play sand.Never fear I is here

Re: Substrate!!!!
You can go over to the rock yard off I-10 and york road in the heights. I used to get all my sand blast rocks substrait from them. It's cheaper then getting it from the local fish store.
The only issue is you will have to wash the hell of them. They will be dirty but over time it will clear out.Fish, Fish, & more Fish.
