I'm sure they will eat it and be fine, but they don't get much protein from veggies (or algae in the wild). I would just feed them a stable of NLS.I ate my fish that died.

Ours won't touch any veggies we try to give them, but they LOVE the marine seaweed stuff. I just tear a strip about 2 inches wide, wrap it around a rock and secure it with a rubber band and they go to town. Most times I don't even have my hand out of the tank before they are going at it.Our Fishhouse

Thanks for the replies! My Red Chimbas apparently like spinach. I took a small handful and wrapped a rubber band around a spoon to weigh it down and tied a fishing string to it so that I could easily retrieve the spoon once they're done. They're mainly eating the stems, but the leaves are getting nibbled on a bit, as well.
I primarily feed my colony NLS. Just trying to find some fresh "treats".

What's wrong Delock? You heard otherwise??? BTW, mine are killing that spinach.... leaves and all! From keeping iguanas I've heard romaine lettuce is better than iceberg, but spinach better for them (nutrient-wise) than romaine.... that's why I'm asking about spinach in particular. And that's what we had in the fridge. Are we doing something wrong by feeding them salad???????????? NEED TO KNOW QUICK IF WE ARE!!!!!Comment

Spinach, Romaine, peas, seaweed, and zucchini have been eaten by my Tropheus.
