Good call on the smoking. Our van is non-smoking. Sorry  :(

I'd like to host so people could give me ideas on my two 210's and 300.  Count me in.  Is Sugar Land too far?  I'm at 99 and 59.

Re: Winter Tank Tour - Ideas

Geoff...  If I may give inputs here is what I think we should do.

I call for a East and West tour.  (let 45/290 be the divider)
Find two Saturdays (or one Sat one Sun, I dont care but two Saturdays prolly works best.  Two weeks between them, so we can accommodate those who have children etc)

I would recommend strongly that the number of stops are set to 4 locations (areas) per day.  Anything more than that, and you will have a hardtime making it to somewhere else (unless they are like neighbors)
Stops needs to be rated as come and go or come and sit....  ie how long are people expected to stay...  reason is that going to Geoff it needs to be rated for a long stay like over 2 hours.. where as a place like EK who only has one tank to look at .... after 30-45 minutes of talking it...  everyone is done taking pictures of it.  At Geoff's after two hours you have barely had enough time to see and enjoy each tank... much less getting to see some of the interesting fun things that happens in his tanks.

I recommend when someone lists they are in as a host, list number of tanks and if there is space to sit for a group of 12 people

            Just my 2.3 cents worth

Re: Winter Tank Tour - Ideas

No I am not saying that EK... what I am saying is that when you have 6 tanks with many colonies to look at, its takes longer to look over each and every tank and give each tank some time to look at them.  Your tank even though prolly the #1 tank to look at, because you do have awesome scape and very fascinating fish, it does not take as long (timewise) when you have to compare it to 6 large tanks.
That is what I wanted to convey

I'm going to receive my tropheus on the 29th. I'm also going to get my 21 Famula's back from Geoff soon. These fish will take care of the discus for me.
