Well they could be or they could be just pondraised here in the states. I would just refer to them as Tankraised.... same difference really.

Ugh.. I knew this would happen. Well, this is as good a place to ask - what is the general consensus on F status of a WC and a TR mating?

I would continue to label them as tankraised... or go into detail "Parents consist of WC+TR" which would be more favorable then just TR IMO.

Based on where I got these, I'm pretty sure they're Burund PR. I know its only a technicality, but its a technicality that makes me sleep better at night.

As for when it comes time to sell fry, would the offspring of unrelated WC & PR be considered F1? (this was what I was trying to ask last post..)

No... the generation of the PR is unknown.

The reason for it is to keep from inbreeding and if the PR have been bred into themselves several times then calling their offspring F1 would be an incorrect statement.

there are a number of locations that pondraise Tropheus.

Burundi Farms is in Burundi Africa, and thus typically their stock is on a better quality than state side farms, because they atleast have access to lake water, and fresh stock to replace from.
