Too bad i'm getting out.

I got a call from Trung supplier early last week asking if I wanted two boxes of them before he sold them to anyone else. I been bugging them about some for awhile.

They had 9 left last night.  The EK comment above on the one fish is the same impression I had last night--it was lighter in color (black part) than the rest  Maybe nothing......

Since you vented them, any idea of M/F left.  Did you like the Katoto's?  Was Truong saying WC on them?

some of them do have a lighter face then others, but once they are feeding or being aggressive everything turns black and the yellow bands get really bright.  

Xtreme got them in as trios, 1:2 ratio, we got 6 females two males.  but Truong said we were the only ones that actually vented them.  Another person bought the majority of them and according to Truong, he wanted the biggest prettiest ones, didn't care about the ratio, so we have no idea what is left.  

I wouldn't mind picking up a few more, but not sure if we have the tank space!

Yeah, Truong said he couldn't get any of the square ones imported this time.  :?

I honestly might go buy two more females today. I don't know how much trouble it will get me into with the boss, but I think they're worth it. They are some of the biggest, most beautiful Tropheus I've ever seen.

We're keeping the Ikola with some F1 Moliro fry, and a few Dub fry, all in the 4 foot 90 gallon.

The 135 gallon has the Kasanga and the Ulwile.

As for the square comment... rounded= fat/bloated/overfed.

I would wait for the square or even non-rounded ones any day.

Well, we're really happy with them and think they look healthy to us.
They're eating, swimming, and being active.  As for overfeeding, I think Zulaab can testify that we do not overfed our fish!  If anything, according to Zulaab when he came over, we underfed them!  Underfeeding doesn't kill fish as far as I'm concern.  Until you can see these guys in person, they are big.  Big and thick   We have the moliros in there with them and the moliros are just as long but not as thick as the ikolas, hard to describe....

None are bloated - or were bloated when we bought them. It was a bad camera angle.

I just made a simple comment about one being round.....

They are gorgeous as any troph is to me, ikolas do stand out in the crowd though!

Now a tank with say 40-50 of them would be overwhelming to me! :wink:
