Truth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.

I agree with MJ... if there's a good start ratio of say 1:3 or better then let them settle their differences.

Mine have always fought when I rescaped and the losing male always works itself back into the herd after healing.

You could find someone that is female heavy and donate the guy.

A swift thump works wonders too.

Re: What you do with culled males ?

for Tropheus I always let the males duke it out, so that it is survival of the fittest.

Sometimes, I let things get to far, and  some have died on me.

If I can catch it in time, I put them into timeout tank, and then try to intergrate them back once he is healed up.

For PEtro's there is not time to act, you got to seperate quickly, or they'll bed dead by the time you setup a timeout tank.

You got to have eggcrate on hand for seperation on Petro's.

You still got to maintain numbers.

The weaker males never dominate a territory to have a successful spawn.

But that is a really good Nietzsche stuff there...you been reading him lately?
