Re: Seeking information on Tropheus sp. black bulu points
There is one guy in Katy (katytropheus) keeping them, he got the lot from ADG they were keeping for over a year in their Gallery display tank.
It is not very common at all to see them in Wild Caught because of their location along Mahale National Park, but they do come around about once a year or so.
They are very common in Burundi Pondraised which is what most people get, which ADG most likely did.
Pondraised are going to be a lot more cheaper, and Derek (delock) can hook you up.
If your looking for wild fish, Peter at Atlantis has them on his list in both Pondraised and in Wildcaught.

IMO.... tropheus are tropheus.
Treat each one as an individual and take what others offer in advice with a grain of salt.
Some people will say they are just like any other.... some will say they are the devil wrapped up in a tropheus. All cases behind each opinion is different.
Get what you like and stop settling.700g Mini-Monster tank

Re: Seeking information on Tropheus sp. black bulu points
I have not herd that Bulu Points agression is elevated over other Trophs.
Being that they generally come from a location where 3 other Tropheus variants exist, I could see where they would be very eager to dominate around other Tropheus or fish of similar size.380G For Sale $3000 Acrylic tank & stand

Thanks for the hook up geoff.
I'm not really trying to get these. I've just always liked them a lot. For sure I'm get them later on down the road. But I have read on a lot of forums that they can be nuts and others have reported that they act just like any other. I just wanted to see for myself.I ate my fish that died.

Gas is cheap for the time being, and although, I'm in Cypress, I'd like to see that in person... :)
CFTruth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.
