Combining Petro's and Troph's - Will it work?

I've been thinking about downsizing my tanks and fish and have thought about combining my Tropheus sp. red chimba colony of 16 WC with my Petrochromis Famula Chimba colony of 21 F1. *They are currently in a 75 gallon (I know..) and a 210 gallon, respectively. *Once combined they would be in my 300 gallon. *Will this work well? *How much will breeding be inhibited? *Currently, trophs breed like crazy and petros are just getting into it. *How will I have to landscape the tank? *Lots of territories??? *Anything will help. *Thanks guys and gals!

my moops and trews breed fine together. but IMO it is better to have a species only tanks for these guys. that will maximize breeding.

When I had my Ilangi with the Famula Chimba I had there was almost zero breeding.

My trophs/petros have breed quite a few times now, although there's only 4 babies to show for it. I have 2 more packing females however. But I agree, species only tank will maximize it your numbers. Just depends if you want a show tank or a breeding tank.
