They were in a 180 with around 40 tropheus Namansi I. They did the job of dithering fairly well for over a year and then someone turned rouge. I lost three fish in about three months. As far as feeding the only one even close to thin in the group was the one who was beaten and all but dead. I promise you those fish ate heavily every day.120g - Tropheus Moorii Kambwimba
180g - Petrochromis Macrognathus Dine/Tropheus Moorii Namansi I

I kept Petros and tropheus in the same tank before.
Petros will not get big on 1mm NLS with tropheus in the tank.
I'm not trying to call you out or anything.
But trust me, them fish are skinny and not in breeding condition. They are not bad. Just on the skinny side. After my female holds she still look fatter than yours.
And they are petro.....they always eat well.I ate my fish that died.

You all shouldn't worry so much with Sunny at the helm. He will have these fish back to healthy in short order. I have seen these fish and everytime I'm at Sunny's house the transformation of his existing fish is incredible. He can grow petro's faster than anyone else I have ever seen. Already the personality of the male was poking out yesterday so these fias are coming around quickly.

Sunny is great at keeping fish. The advice I've gotten from Thai surpasses any advice I've been given by anyone on any forum I've been apart of as far as keeping trophs and petros are concerned. Thai isn't arrogant like some but truly gives great advice to assist in helping with success. I don't know too many people who have been successful at breeding three fish colonies like Thai, so I would listen up and take heed to the advice.Last edited by moganman; 08-12-2012, 08:45 AM.210gPetrochromis Macrognatus Green 'Nsumbu

I actually wouldn't call these guys skinny. Of the four, the ex-dominant female is FAT, the male has been the runt so he is a little skinny, and the two other females look normal. They look good. In fact, the two regular females might have started to drop their vents today because I can see little nubs starting to poke out a little. That's all on Gene's care and I really didn't see anything to get alarmed about, just the male needs to fatten up like Thai says.

We can agree to disagree. It's a pointless debate b/c that's the pass and they on their way to being better. :)
What's the total fish and food list on this tank?
Lol, as you know. I take great interest in breeding tropheus and Petros in smaller groups.I ate my fish that died.
