There's room if I replace the external pump on the sump with an internal. There might be room even without doing that, just have to plan it out carefully

That's about right. My parking lot used to be like that before I started draining into the bathtub drain LOL

                    • Nice vid Sunny. Death can come in the darkness but my experiance is that it gets worse with moonlights tried overnight. Tried it and there was so much splashing the first night I couldn't sleep. Everything chasing everything else. Haven't tried it since, tho sometimes I run them when watching the big TV (cuts down on glare from the tank lights). Actually, I keep light pretty low in the tank most of the time when I'm not hanging out inside (not much this time of year). Just some little LED fixtures designed to light a lot smaller tank. Seems to keep the tank calmer. Good luck with the current hold.

Thanks Steve, unfortunately it was yet another one day hold. Gonna get it figured out somehow and get a female holding to term. This one is one of the more aggressive fish in the tank, fighting the two big males from time to time. I need to look into not feeding the fish for a few days after spawning, because I feel that this female swallowed at feeding time. I agree with you on the moonlight thing, bad idea.

                        • Do you run all the lights during the day or just the spot lights? Then all the lights off at night?

Spotlights are on a timer from around 2pm to 11pm. I use the LED strips when I need the extra lights or just checking on the fish in the morning. All lights out at 11pm or so.

                            • Ah. I bet you can squeeze another canister under there, just need to break out the inner "tetris".

Already working out the details. I'm gonna have to replace the sump to make that work, and run the new one filled with pumice.
