Yeah, that's how mine actswhen holding. Keeps her little end of the tank kinda clear. Looks like she's claiming half the tank. You might looks at adjusting the scape somehow to give her a smaller security zone. Mine keeps things clear behind big rock on one end. BVut that leaves most of the tank off her turf. Agree with what someone else said - Moshi look good in there!

Typical holding petro female behavior I suppose. Mine sure won't let anyone swim behind her rock and hang around for long. Did you follow through with your plan to withhold food for a few days right after they spawned. Running into some trouble with mine that sounds similar. She starts coming up when I feed, pretty soon tries to sneak a bite, and before long i see she don't seem to be holding anymore.

I understand wanting fry completely. However the longer she holds perhaps the better at it she'll get. Just a thought...
