I understand wanting fry completely. However the longer she holds perhaps the better at it she'll get. Just a thought...

I think this arguement may have some merit but it probably applies more to young f1 fish. That big gal is sho to have been around the block before. I let mine hold to term and spit in the tank but that's mostly because it's so much work to catch. I don't have much market for fry anyway.

I checked both females today and found no eggs/fry. Hoping for better luck next time. At least I'm off the hook for beer/drinks

Thanks guys. I'm gonna strip her today and tumble the eggs in my 210. Not gonna chance another bout of aggression resulting in loss. This way I will find out rather quickly if they are successful at fertilizing eggs or not.
