True and one thing that I didn't notice was that the first of them jumped out of the tank. Tell tale sign of Aggression Eviction....

Maybe it was a combination but ultimately aggression was the key. Maybe the first was evicted. The next two succumed to illness due to aggression stress and the fourth from straightup physical aggression.

Well either way, very unfortunate. But is somewhat expected with a situation like this. Thanks for the conversation Sunny.

There has been no documented evidence that one destabilizes another when used together, only opinions that they "can be". Read up on the ingredients in Tetra Parasite Guard, you'll see that they're some harsh stuff, but they're not lethal to fish. Even Praziquantel can be overdosed without harming the fish.

Johnny, those fish that died seem to have been kicked out of the colony, which is to be expected when adding new fish to an existing colony. One sign is when they're floating in slow motion like you said. Saw a few of those in my Moliro colony after they got over the "bug" and started setting their hierarchy again. Meds won't help that. Deaths stopped once I got the aggression under control, which included taking some rocks out, etc.
Well said Sunny. I didn't want to go through and explain why using all these meds isn't necessarily bad to use all at once. Just a lot of people read what's on the net and take it as their bible.

I wonder why none of mine jumped out...? Oh wait, glass tops. Maybe those tops prolonged the agony those poor fish had to go through.

I always found that catching all the fish out and placing them in a cooler (lid open of course) while rescaping and then tossing them back in helps with aggression issues.

This might help, but given that Johnny's colony numbers are dwindling... what more to do?

Your Petros might be messing with the Trophs. Have you bert-stared the tank to see who's doing what and to whom?

Exactly, get the hyper doms out.... put them in another tank for a week so the others have a chance to get back some health and lower stress... P.S. I spoke with a few different Med Companies and they said the same thing. It's the same with human meds. The way one med is processed in the body can affect the absorption of another...

If he does that he's gonna have the same problem with aggression all over again when he puts them back in the main tank...

You can talk to all the medical companies you want, they're legally bound to tell you the same thing to keep you from putting things in your mouth that you shouldn't. In practice, with FISH, you can mix and match these meds. I've done it, so have several members on this forum. Or maybe my fish are zombies now, because they look like they're swimming but then again they must be dead by now from me treating them with meds like that.

I have found that taking hyper dominant males/females out of the tank for a while and in with another colony evens the playing field in the end. Reason being is that the one(s) left in the tank have more energy and can deal with any of the added stress at that point when adding another fish to "their" tank. And also much more confidence when the hyper dominant male(s) are added back in and it tends to calm the overall energy down in the tank. Obviously there will need to be some ranking establishment once again. This is from my experience and I've done it numerous times with success... OP, Take it for what it's worth. Also Sunny that's funny. Zombies. (that could be a while other topic done from studies on humans.. Zooombie) no I don't think that your fish are zombies. I'm merely saying that one med can cancel out another disabling it's ability to heal. Not that it would necessarily hurt the fish. I would think the previous before the later. I know that your keep your fish tip top. So no worries there... AC
