Well I'm excited about what just occurred. Tim (Timber713) shared his fail safe method of getting all fish to eat. Live brine shrimp. Soaked them for two hours in clout and dropped them in. It's amazing how fish don't look at any processed foods and to see them eat for the first time like its their last meal. It's a good feeling. Thanks again Tim.

Still got fish that won't take and processed foods. Time for starving to begin. Yesterday I fed raw gulf shrimp and they all ate it. Time to get them on their staple diet.210gPetrochromis Macrognatus Green 'Nsumbu

And Im sure your doing nice sized water changes every week? And other than the eating issue...they are acting normal?
Maybe make some shimp/flake/pellet mix...And try that after starving them for a couple days. then wait another day or so...and keep at it. And really really clean water.

After observing these fish my only focus now is to get them on their staple diet. They all eat raw shrimp and brine shrimp likes its their last meal so I know that most if not all parasites are gone. It's a waiting game. If I keep feeding them something I can't and don't want to sustain I will not feed it to them. None of my fish came in eating and none ate pellets after the first week. Now about half do and all fish beg for food. Only thing that will get them eating what I want to feed is hunger and that takes time. Fish metabolize slower than we do so I've been adding Epsom salt to help with that.
As far as water goes its not an issue. I've been water changes twice a week. And they are substantial amounts. I added some carbon to my sump and thinking about buying a reactor for Purigen. These fish will come around eventually. Haven't lost a single fish to sickness. Only the one that jumped and the one I culled. This is a team effort. I constantly get good advice. Thanks.210gPetrochromis Macrognatus Green 'Nsumbu
