That's no lie. I wish I was into fish back then to know what it was like, but working 70 - 80 hrs/wk, it never crossed my mind.

Just because you have more knowledge does not make you the best. the best is measured by successful events while keeping fish. I've been tropheus keeper for 2-3 years and have had more succes then someone keeping for double my time or more.

        Nice ikola

          Nice ikola
What is success? Breeding? And it's easy to breed wild Tropheus that were acclimated for you by someone else. I've brought in more than a few wild colonies and had the headache of acclimating, treating, and getting them to take processed foods. When you do that then you can claim to have more success than others.

getting fish to eat is not hard. were not talking about rocket science success is breeding and keeping happy healthy fish with out any losses. that's success to me.and ive had alot of that with minimal losses if any at all.

First day they eat all my algae that grown in most 2 weeks . no food second day and third day I gave them a little of Ken's med food some eat and some don't eat. it is scary me but on four days I still feed ken's med and only one still not eat and get skinny. On day five I give the Ken's flake tropheus lover food and all of them jump on the top and tear all the food even the one not eat. now is a week 2 days, they are still Kens flake like crazy and 6 hour full light on per day ( The first 4 day just 1 hour full light and the rest I use moon light) but not like pellet yet.
For me, This is a second WC Tropheus so the step grown algae for them eat for first two day is very important, it will help them little energy to get use to new environment and new food.
