  • New addition to the glass collection!

    hey guys!

Just wanted to share with y'all some pictures I took of my new toy.

I used my Nikon d90 with the nikkor 60mm/2.8 micro lens.

The subject is an "ADA Pollen Glass Beetle 30". I have plans for it in my next ADA planted tank setup. Hopefully I can later post macro shots of that tank.

    Full front shot:

    Main body shots:

    And finally, close ups shots:

(I know I should have cleaned my figure prints on that one, )

Let me know what you guys think!

Likes and dislikes about the picture would be cool.

Hope you guys enjoy the pictures!

      I didn't know you had a dslr!

You need to post up more bro. :)

50mm/1.8 is a must. 60mm/2.8 is alright.... focusing motor is slow.

You need the new 60mm/ 2.8 with VR. It has a built in focusing motor in the lens. D40 don't have built in auto focus motor I think....but I'm not sure.

My lens has VR best thing ever. I got that lense for tanking pictures of RC cars when I was still into racing them... It doesn't work well for taking pictures of fish tanks lol.
