i got it at best buy. I was a returned open box so it was like 50% off lol. I need to find a good close up lens.

I wonder if i can use some of my stepdad's gear on my setup. He has about 25 to 30k in lenses ect. He owned his own studio.

All Nikkor lens are going to fit on a nikon body for the most part except the super super old stuff.

All his stuff is for Nikon. :( On a somewhat brighter note. I found out what the problem with my camera might be. The gear in the lens may have broken. I am thinking this is the case because it looks as if she dropped the camera on the edge of the lens. She would never tell me she ruined another one of my cameras, so I guess its to the camera repair shop. So Excited.

What type of lens is it?

Might be cheaper to just leave it as is....

If the auto the auto focus gear is busted you can always adjust manually... Or invest in a new lens

Normally the lenses that come with the kits aren't very good....

The lens that came with it was a good general purpose one. Not a huge zoom or anything. But still nice.
