Who's down for a photo comp?

any pictures that are taken by the participant at any time. each person gets to choose their 5 photos.

only stipulations are:
1. pics must be taken by the contestant
2. can not be seriously altered using post production software
3. must be pics that are aquatic or aquarium related. fish, corals, plants; wild or captive are all acceptable.

Although I really don't have a problem with rule 2. It kinda begs the question... What counts as serious alteration? When I take pictures with my camera, I usually turn down contrast, saturation, and sharpness. I usually add them back in post. The reason I do it that way is to maximize dynamic range and minimize artifacts. How about burning and dodging? My thoughts on post production has always been this... Whatever makes the end product better.

serious = dramatic color changes (ie from blue to green)
removing items from the picture by using other means than cropping
adding elements to photo that were not in the original photo (ie copying and pasting)

what you have mentioned would be fine. except burning and dodging which would seriously alter original colorations.

I just took my first picture of an aquarium fish in about a year or so just 2 weeks ago. I'm more comfortable now getting in the ocean to snorkel and take pictures than try to shoot through glass. You already have a leg up on me.
