Since you've stopped by on my thread, please give me your thoughts on my tank.
    Looks sweet.
I love the driftwood and the overall scape.
    It's perfect.

    • Thanks Bro. Means a lot, Ive been watching (not creeping like Nick), your setups. Always nice to see some of the ideas you and others come up with, and to be able to convert them for my own.

      • Added a koralia 7 yesterday thanks to Sunny, and im amazed at how much debris has been lifted from the bottom of the tank, and has been allowed to find its way to the filters. Substrate is much cleaner now.

        • 210 Gallon Geophagus Sanctuary (Updated Pics 9/3/2012)

Well since we have started eating at our dinner table like a "normal" family. I have had more time to sit in front of this tank and enjoy it. Tonight I took notice of all fish, but I watched my tapajos the most. I believe the alpha and beta males have been decided. They have colored up the most. The one I have deemed to be the alpha male, is turning into a stunning fish. Breeding is in the future from to activity I'm seeing but I don't expect anything for another 2-3 months.

The others in the tank are doing very well as well. The balzani have packed on between a 1/4"-1/2" in size. The Sphenozona have packed on between 1/2"-3/4". Some of the Cory's have added another 1/4"-1/2". This tank has become the favorite tank of all time for me. I can easily see setting up. 2-3 more of this size for many different types of earth-eaters.

          • Well I took a few pics today. Happy with a few but not many. Mainly posting these to show off the alpha males colors.

Hey bro if you need to cull out a male Lmk, I want a few more different species for my tank.
              I'm collecting Suriname species.
My pair of pindare 'parnaibai' are starting courting behavior, very excited to breed these fish, I've never had these or seen them in person other than this pair, I've enjoyed them thoroughly and more and more everyday.

                • Very nice colors!
Don't tell fish stories where people know you; but particularly, don't tell them where they know the fish.

I may actually be culling all of the Balzani. I havent made up my mind completely. Ill keep you in mind when it's time for the stock to be reduced. I actually want to build a rack made of 4 55 gallon tanks and seperate out the tapajos, balzani, and the sphendoza, and have the fourth set up at a divided nursery. Think thats going to be my next project. You should come by and check them out one day.

                    • Thanks BrAin and HERM. Played hell getting him to sit still long enough for me to take a picture. The Dominant male runs the whole tank so he has to keep everyone inline. it's funny some days.

I'm not 100% satisfied with the pictures so I will reshoot the tank soon.
