A lot of what looks like shrimp sized poop.

yea they poop a lot but they have a very low bio load...

Yeah, they're lil machines. Your light colored sand isn't helping either.

Someone correct me, but I believe RCS will eat detritus. try feeding them prepared foods only a couple times a week, and the remainder allow them to graze on biofilm & such. They probably poop more if the food you're feeding has a lot of stuff in it.

I read somewhere that dwarf FW shrimps diet is 90% biofilm & aufwachs.

I can see it everywhere!! The algae waffer is still there from yesterday. Is it ok to leave it or does it need to be removed?

Yes, pull the wafer after 12hrs or so, you don't want it decomposing.
