I had a question about purigen. I just purchased a fluval 305 and it has 3 media baskets. 1 is the pads, 1 is the bio, and the other is carbon. Can I replace the carbon for the purigen or do I need to keep the carbon?

What order should my baskets go in. Right now I have the pad on the bottom, biomax in the middle, and carbon on top.

You could also add a dose of water conditioner like Prime or Safe to lower the ammonia and nitrite levels a bit.
I use Prime with all my water changes, have done since day one. Ill keep an eye on it, test tonight and see where its at.
