  • A New Toy!

    i got this on he mail yesterday, a really nice macro ring flash.

    with 48 LED bulbs making it amazing. it can have either the left or the right side off.

      i havent tried it yet on the Fishies, once i get home i will play with it some more.

            without getting technical, its the number that lets you know how powerful the flash is. So lets say i have a flash that has a Guide number of 160. that means at 10ft my f stop will be 16 at 100 iso.

                    i bet its not over 20, which for a macro its ok cause the distance is very short.

                      well i also intend on using it for portrait photography as it will help me in low light cases or turning one side off to create a dramatic effect.

                        There maybe issues with using this ring on fish bc the flash will hit the glass or the eye of the fish.

                        But it would be perfect for other macro work like insects and flowers.
                        I ate my fish that died.

                            i agree with you, untill i dont try it on aquarium photography i wont know. i will keep ya'll posted.
