you guys give me more $hit about that sponge filter. Dan convinced me to put one in my tank, and ever since i put it in there, the water stays crystal clear. I promise its coming out. I'm in the process of setting up a new tank tonight so i'll post some pics tomorrow.

I would relocate the heaters to one of the dark corners of the tank. This way when the lights are on they are not illuminated so much and out of sight.
I agree with all the sponge filter haters out there, I would ditch it for a canister or even HOB filled with Floss. The upgrade will provide a lot more function to your filtration needs than a bubbler and sponge and be much more pleasing to the eye and quiet.(canister)380G For Sale $3000 Acrylic tank & stand

MarkWhat are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

Front I think stacked slate or sand stone would look better than the pebbles but its your tank do what makes you happy. In regards to the heaters do like Geoff states or get a Hydor inline. One of the best inventions in my opinion for a show tank. Looks good otherwise.

thats a great idea about he heaters, i dont know why i didnt think of that. I'm seriously in the process of hunting down some canisters. Money is a little tight at the moment, so i'm having hell finding ones that are in my budget. I agree, the first pic does look cloudy, but i think its b/c i had just used windex and maybe it wasnt all the way dry yet. you can come over and see for yourself. If it ain't wild caught

Or you can buy the new "windex" that is fish safe. I just do the good old spray on a paper towel away from the tank and then go to work
