Ohhhhh, thanx for the info, i did not know this.
so just place the heater in the sump, like where the pump sits?
i am still getting a wetdry for my 125g, i am looking for a proclear 200 with like a pump and all the stuff to run it.

what would be a good size submersible pump for a proclear 200?
i will be using it as a CA Cichlid tank.
i will have a male midas, male true green terror, male jag, male trimac, and possibly a amphilophus chanco.

so i will have a tank full of massive tank busters.

o dang, we talking cash money now!

If you spending that kind of cash then getting some really nice and rare.

WC colony of petros famula would be nice and work in a tank that size.

well, i will be making enough money to be able to throw around some cash money when im out of school

if im gunna do trophs i am gunna go all out!

i might just do a Coralife Aqualight Advanced with 3x 250 watt HQI's, they dont have the cf's, andi am wondering if i need them with 750Watts on a 180g.

i mean hell, if i cant grow some ridiculous algae with 750 watts, then i think i will have a problem

im sure i can pickup a pair of tunze 6100's off of marshreef for half of what they cost retail, not to mention the mag 18, and the 2262.
and im hoping that derrick can hook me up with the wetdry.
and im thinking i can pickup a pretty sweet 180g tank, stand, canopy, and tops for a decent price either on here, marsh, craigslsit, or kwys.
so the only thing i will have to buy retail is the lighting.
          HOPEFULLY!

A proclear 200 will handle up to a Mag18, and then you better be using both drops from the tank or else you are asking for trouble... a Pro/Clear 175 can only handle a Mag12... I know.. because its maxing out its capabilities..

Yeah a 9.5 will do -- you will have slow water flow but at least you will get about a 550-600g / hr water flow with a Mag9.5 (this is considering head height)

I basically have the same wet/dry on my 125g now. I'm using the mag 12. I would prefer the mag 9 over the 12. Mag 12 just moves too much water and the noise level of flowing water via wet dry can be bad.

                  Dump the cheap HOBs.

would they wetdry be enough filtration by itself for a 125, with the fishes mentioned?
                    later i will get a 2262 aswell.

but will the wetdry do it for a while with these fish?

wet/dry should be able to handle it.

I would get two 2262 or 2260 just for fun.

                        aight, HOBs are dumped

i was worried about the noise level, that was my main concern, with the setup being in my room, and like less than 10' from my bed.

i wonder why derrick hasnt replied to my pm about the wetdry

anywho, i will use the wetdry as my only filtration for now.

My wet dry is a Pro Clear 200 with a Mag 12 in it, quietest you've ever heard. The loudest part is the water in to the overflow box and even that's not that bad.

For the most part, any additional sound in my experience can be taken care of with filter floss in the sump or adjusting the height of the overflow boxes in the tank.
