ok, so i have a batch of about 30 that just hatched, and another batch of about 30 that are already free swimming in my 55. the free swimming zebras are a hybrid (mom is a pseudotrophus powder blue hybrid, and dad is a full blood ice blue zebra).

any ideas on what to do with them? Is there a market to try to sell them cheap if i grow them out about another inch or two? Currently they are about a quarter inch. Egg sacks finished about 2 days ago. All are showing stripes, light bodies, about 4 are turning blue already

the second group i stripped about an hour ago. Those are also hybrids, moms a yellow hybrid zebra, and dad is the same pesky ice blue zebra lol.

Anyhoo, if anyone is looking for cheap zebras, these will be ready in about a month. LMK if you know anyone looking for them or looking for growout potential.

just want to make sure i specify this as clearly as possible...

    THESE ARE HYBRIDS!!!!

had someone get very upset with me the other day because he thought i was trying to scam people into thinking they were full blood anythings lol. not i said the duck...

btw, i can send pics of mom and dad on either set. both parents in both sets are really pretty, yes even the females have really great tones and color to them!

Malawi Fry should be sold from between 3-6 months age. If you sell them any earlier and the new owner takes them home and not into a fry grow out tank, you are going to be looking at a new owner who will most likely loose their young. If the egg sac just disappeared I would hold them for another 2-3 months before thinking about selling them in the first place. I prefer to keep Malawi to as much as 6 months (2+ inches) before selling them.
