  • Now what?

    I have my 20 T. rutunga in a 120 gallon, 9 S. babaulti in a 75, now I have another 75 to fill. I am debating between a colony of 18 kachese and 10 linangu. Any opinions?
I am getting some Ilangi later this year. These tropheus are addicting!
    Thanks for the opinions!

I've never been a fan of mixing variants, especially moorii's. Keep in mind that there is risk with them cross breeding at some point. If it were me, I would stick to just one variant per tank. If those are your two choices, get the colony with the highest number, in this case the kachese.

It sound to me like vmahaffe is either going to do 18 kachese OR 10 linangu. Not both. I'll stay out of the tropheus decisions... y'all won't like what I would say...

Yes, I am trying to choose one or the other. The guy selling them is asking $160 for the kachese and $150 for the linangu. He also has a group of 10 chaitaka for $100.
          Are the linangu rarer?

Linangu is a newer fish on the market, but they have come in, in enough shipments that I see them at least ever few months being offered up.
There are many other variants that are more rare compared to this one.

                  Thanks.
The day after I took this, I put up a black background. Looks A LOT better. Really makes the fish pop!

Looks nice. Do you have pictures of your 180 gallon?
