no rocks? whats the ratio? i miss my fronts now
They have only been in there for a few weeks, although I had 4 females holding last week, and even an male tumbling some eggs(Chris Brownsnoutuk can attest to it) I dont know if I want to put anything in there for them to hide behind, If anything maybe some small boulders maybe 4-5 to break up the terrortories. I dont know what happened to the other batches, I stripped all the females and only ended up with two producing eggs. Ratio supposedly 3m/10f, I havent vented them to see. Either which way, they are happy and showing it.
Looks like I lost about 10 eggs right now, due to the color of the eggs. I am not to sure as of right now, seems like some fins are comming thru. I am worried, but will let nature take its course. The rest are doing good, maybe a problem with the second female (the first produced 27 eggs, at 41/2")
I just want to keep some front frys. When they get like 2-2.5 inches I'll move them out.
By the way, can you post a picture with the stand and canopy. I love that cherry stain!
If your serious, let me know. I dont want to sell them to a random Joe that doesnt take care of their fish. Ive got several people already wanting some, just being picky on who they go to. I kept 2 from the first batch and they are showing beautiful colors already. Brownsntrout got the cream of the crop so to speak, they were fully blue as soon as I stripped them from thier mother. I am still working on the stand trim. I had to remove it because my tank was too wide for the newer oceanic stand. I will post pics before and after the trim is up in a couple of days.
