It's John's aqualog book. Chris asked to borrow it. I called John to make sure it was ok. I also told Chris to call John to make sure it's ok. I wouldn't let someone borrow a book that wasn't mine.

I still have geoff's book too. I actually had it in my car today thinking that geoff was going to be at ADG. I had planned to give it back to him.

john has like 7+ in a 40g breeder.

can you elaborate on why i shouldnt keep a trio in the 20g Long?

also, i may be picking up a 36g tank tonight.

so if they cant go in the 20g, i will put some in there.

and just for the record, im f'in tired of people on this site giving me a hard time becuase of me changing my mind on fish.

espescially the petro, i didnt change my mind on that fish, nor did i sell it, i gave it a try, and ended up giving it back to John, the original owner, so it didnt starve to death.

i loved that petro, but it wasnt doing good in my care, i guess im just not experienced enough to keep petros.

also, he killed 1 of my golden kazumba trophs, so i didnt want to loose my entire colony and be left with a single fish.

my trophs are doing awesome, and i am not getting rid of them.

i may be wishy washy, and i dont mind oocasional cracks about it, but when half of a 4 page thread is devoted to digs about my fish keeping, thats complete BS.

i wouldnt give anyone on here a hard time like that about such a stupid and childish matter.

excuse me for not wanting to kill the petro, i gave it back to the original owner, to ensure it would be in good hands again.
i dont have enough experience to keep wc petros, but i gave it a dang good effort.

        thats all im gunna say.

Did he tell you he had 7? He has more than 7 I'm sure of it. Also those fishes are still small. They maybe breeding but they will get bigger.

Regarding tank size, 20L is to small for them. It maybe fine when they are young. Just like tropheus fry. You can keep tropheus fry in a 20L but you can't keep them there forever.

Regarding amount of fishes, a trio is not that many fishes for a sp. that is this aggressive. Simos are more aggressive then tropheus. Same general rules tropheus apply to simos.

also, i may be picking up a 36g tank tonight.

That would be a step in the right directon.

so if they cant go in the 20g, i will put some in there.

If you really wanted to and have no other place for them than this is what I would do as well. But beware, they do need more room later.

I'm not going to make specific comments on the rest of that stuff. I get called out for drunk posting way more than you get called out for changing your mind. If the gove fits when row with it. It's all fun and games bro.

honestly, no, i didnt see it coming, as John said it will be fine, the petro wont bother the trophs, they are to small and he wont even notice them.

john told me this, i asked more than once about keeping such a large petro in with such small trophs, and he gave me the same answer every time.

so taking into account these were his fish, i figured it was good info.

i figured he had more than 7, i just saw 7 at any one time, so i put 7+.

thanks, i will put them in the 36g, until they are larger.
i will probably end up getting like a 75g for them down the road.

i cant really afford alot of them at once, seeing as they are $25 a fish.
i will probably save until i can afford to get atleast 8 of them.

i would have put them in a 75g right away, but my other 75g cracked a few days ago, and i gave it to another member on here in exchange for the 20g long.

                    No,
the oak color one that was all scratched up cracked.
The nice black one that's in perfect condition is the one my trophs are in now is the one I traded my 125g for.
Also, the 125g was in pretty bad shape aswell.

I upgraded my lighting on my 75g to 2x 250 watt metal halides each with 4x Blue Moon Glow LED's. I love these mh's! The light they put out is insane! And the algae growth is nuts!

                    I'll post pics soon.
All of the trophs are over an inch long now.
I feed them 6 times a day and once a week they get alittle shrimp mix.

                    I also do 2x 80% wc's a week.
                    They are growing like crazy.
I need to get some Ken's Tropheus Lover's Flakes though.
Also, one of my K4's decided to burnout on me.
So I need to find another one of those.

Right now I have 22 trophs in the 75g.
Do you think I could add more GK's to this colony or should I leave them be since they are doing good?
I'd like to add like 10-13 more fry, but I don't want to mess up what they have going.

Either way is fine. I would add more just cause I would prefer a better ratio later on. Just kill off the males.

But if you don't add more that's fine too. 22 as a final number is good. These fishes get a lot bigger than people think.

I was at geoff's and his 20 something ujiji filled up a 150g 6 footer!

Ive heard Geoff's trophs are massive.
Jim said they are all like 5+"s.
I would love to see them in person someday.

man, the fishes are one thing but the collection of nice tanks/stands is another!

He got some really nice stuff.

1'' glass Oceanic discontinued.....I want this tank so bad.

The ujiji and tank combo is my favorite set up over there.
