Are you talking about the chocolate zebra plecos? Not the L046 black and white zebra pleco right?

If you paid around $30 or less then you could try it but the malawi will probably harass the pleco and it will probably starve eventually cause the malawi's will attack all the food in there causing you to overfeed and put either the health of the fish or the water quality at risk.

If you are referring to the "True" zebra plecos that are fetching $200+ then you are better off keepint them in a species only tank or a tank where they will have no competition for food cause they don't go looking for it and actually scavenge.
